Charlotte came to Rabbit Rescue from a shelter in Quebec after she was placed on a euthanasia list due to overcrowding. Given only days to live, she was saved in time by a wonderful foster home.
Charlotte (aka Char-Char-Binks, aka HunnyBunny) had her spay surgery and recovered perfectly. Because she is a Rex, the fur is growing back slowly on her belly where she was shaved but the rest of her is as luxurious as ever, and she absolutely loves any kind of petting or attention. She does not mind being picked up and held when it’s time for grooming, or put on your lap for pats time, though she does prefer if you just snuggle up with her. Really snuggle. She’ll lean into you for smooshes and nuzzles and will nose boop you if you stop. And why would you? No one can get enough of that thick velvety coat!
When Charlotte first came to Rabbit Rescue she was quite overweight, but after a gradual weight loss plan she is now within normal weight range. Because of this, she is able to jump up on the sofa. She is only a little bun, so her foster mom puts a small stool next to the sofa to make it easier for her to get up and down. She loves company, whether it be human or the cats who share the space. Highly social and friendly, Charlotte is always looking to spend time in the company of others. The only time she shows any feistiness is when her space is being messed with. She does not like her blankets being arranged for her, and will tug on her foster mom’s clothing when the litter box is removed and cleaned. As soon as everything is put back in place, she does a little bunstruction to get it the way she wants.
Her litter habits are absolutely excellent and she will eat anything you give her. She is so gentle when being hand fed, even when it’s a cookie and she’s very excited. Charlotte has been taught to step away when her food bowl is being put on the floor and to come and get her food when she is called. You can see videos of that below. Such a good and polite bun!
Charlotte is a wonderful bunny and would love to join your family. Apply to adopt her today!
