Clover is a very sweet, gentle, friendly, and happy bun who loves to be around people. He is a neutered male and approximately a year old. He was not doing well at the shelter he was in. It is likely that he was not handled much, so he can be a little nervous at first; however, shows great interest in being social and is warming up quickly. Since coming into foster care, he has flourished. It took him less than an hour to start exploring his new pen, eating, interacting with his foster mom, and happily doing binkies.
Clover is a brave little guy who is quickly learning how to trust and so badly wants to build a connection with others. With patience and a gentle approach allowing him to take the lead, he is showing a lot of daily progress. He now eagerly greets his foster mom by running up to her with excitement. He loves to be pet and will lay down flat and tooth purr. He will jump onto his foster mom’s back if she lays down, and has started jumping into her lap. Like most rabbits, he prefers not to be picked up; but loves to be cuddled while on the ground or simply lay beside his person.
Food is definitely the way to this bun’s heart! He easily eats from his foster mom’s hand and is so gentle. Although he seems to love all food, his favourite is definitely banana! While eating his favourite treats, he makes an adorable chirping sound.
He has excellent litter habits and is fully litter trained making him a great candidate to be a free roam bun. He currently has a bedroom to himself closed off with a baby gate; however, loves to explore and play in other parts of the house. So far he hasn’t been destructive or had any accidents and can be brought back to his room by calling his name and enticed with a treat.
Clover would likely do very well with a spayed female rabbit due to his gentle and friendly demeanor. He would also likely be okay in a home with a calm dog as he seems curious about the dogs in the foster home and will approach them from behind a gate or fence.
