Hi all! My name is Lincoln and I am a neutered senior male who is approximately 7 years old.  The people at Rabbit Rescue have told me I was well overdue for the life I deserve, so they are helping me find a home where I can spend my golden years. 

Retirement life is treating me well! I’m learning so many new things in my foster home. Who said you can’t teach an old rabbit new tricks!? Okay, so I may not have learned any tricks, but I did learn how to rabbit! When I arrived, I didn’t know what to do with common rabbit essentials, such as hay, veggies, apple sticks, cardboard boxes, toys, a litter box, and most heartbreaking, being pet. It all seemed so unfamiliar. The snack lady (aka foster mom) kept giving me the hay stuff and told me it was really important, but I didn’t know if I should eat it or weave a basket with it at the senior center craft night. Eventually, I gave in and started to eat the darn strands of dried vegetation. I’m not going to tell her, but I think I like it. I learned how to use the litter box really fast, and am now really loving my cardboard box village, chewing on apple sticks, playing with toys, and devouring veggies! I’ve also started to realize that hands are not just for food distribution. I’ve started to really like being pet. 

I may not be a spring chicken, but adopting a senior has a lot of benefits! No, I’m not talking about a senior’s discount. I’m talking about my super chill, easygoing, and gentle personality. Long gone are the days of crazy baby bunny antics, like escaping my pen or chewing everything in sight. Kids these days! But don’t get me wrong. I still have some pretty awesome moves. After I wake up from my 10^th and 11^th nap, I love to zoom around the hallways, fly through my tunnel, and crash into my cardboard box village. Afterwards, I promptly tuck myself in for nap #12, and love nothing more than having the snack lady hang out beside me while I snooze.
