Miss Mabel was surrendered to Rabbit Rescue as her owner needed immediate help as their condo would not allow her to stay. She was in temporary housing and then came into a wonderful foster home.
Miss Mabel is a calm, easygoing bunny with a soft white coat and beautiful orangey-brown markings on her face.
She is deeply curious and loves exploring her surroundings. While she finds comfort in her enclosure, she also enjoys roaming freely around the house. Mabel has quickly learned where her boundaries are and stays comfortably within them. She isn’t a mischievous bunny, and has been very well behaved in foster care.
Throughout the day, Miss Mabel can often be found stretched out on the carpet, quietly watching the world around her. She enjoys hopping through her fabric tunnel and will occasionally have bursts of energy, racing around objects in happy little circles.
Miss Mabel enjoys having people around. You can often find her at your ankles as you move through the house or investigating your feet while you sit down for dinner. She enjoys being part of whatever is happening, but is equally happy choosing to hop back into her pen to sit and relax.
Miss Mabel knows her routine well and eagerly looks forward to pellets, cilantro, and the occasional dried strawberry treat.
In the evenings, she becomes more active and social. She may hop onto your lap for a brief hello before settling nearby on the couch. While she doesn’t seek out affection, she enjoys gentle pets on her own terms and will often lean into your hand when you stroke the side of her face.
Her presence is quiet, calming, and comforting.
