Shadow is an adventurous senior bunny that was surrendered to a local shelter with his bonded partner Birdie through no fault of their own. Sadly, Birdie passed away and Shadow is learning to live life solo. He was a wonderful husbun and hopes to find love again in his golden years. He would benefit from the comfort of a bunwife as he navigates this new chapter of his life.
Shadow is outgoing and playful, and when he first arrived into his foster home he wasted no time making himself at home, zooming out of his crate on day one and diving headfirst into exploring every nook and cranny.
Shadow’s dog-like personality makes him a perfect companion for anyone who loves animals with big hearts and even bigger enthusiasm. He will eagerly greet you when you enter the room and isn’t shy about showing off his playful side. While Shadow has slowed down a bit as he gets older, he still has a fun, loving, bright personality. Shadow brings energy and joy to every moment and is a joy to be around. Shadow previously lived with a medium-sized dog in a different foster home and did not seem alarmed when the dog was around, and even approached her for sniffs and greetings! Despite being 11 years old, his energy and frequent binkies prove he’s still young at heart!
Shadow has ongoing issues with sludge and is on a special diet (including only drinking filtered water). He is also on daily medication to help manage the sludge and his arthritis. He is overall a very good bunny patient.
He loves greens, especially parsley and dill, and hopes to find a bun to share his meals and snacks.
If you have a girl bun looking for a wonderful senior husbun, please consider Shadow!
