Zinnia came to Rabbit Rescue from a shelter in Quebec after he had been placed on a euthanasia list due to overcrowding and given only days to live. A foster home stepped forward and now Zinnia is settling into his new life!

Zinnia, nicknamed Zinzi by his foster mom, is a sweet bun that can be slow to warm up in a new environment. New sounds can make him nervous, so he would do best in a calm, quiet adult home. He loves his home base enclosure as it is his safe space.

Overall he is a very calm rabbit who likes to explore and take long naps when he finds the perfect spot to hang out. He will nap in the “superbun” pose with his arms and legs out, with his tail sticking straight up! His daily routine involves eat, nap, chill, repeat.

Zinnia will do binkies randomly throughout the day to show he is happy. He is very tolerant when it comes time for nail trims, and has perfect litter box habits.

He loves snack time and will sit well for pats (especially if food is involved!). He will beg for treats or lay down beside his plate dramatically hoping for just a few extra pellets. His favourite treats are a bite of banana or apple. His favourite veggies are salad mix and cilantro.

Like most rabbits, Zinnia thinks the floor is lava and will hop from blanket to blanket or carpet to avoid touching the slipper floor. No lava floors for Zinnia!
