Charlie came to Rabbit Rescue after a backyard breeder gave him away when he was no longer wanted as he wouldn’t mate. His foster mom took him in right away and after only a few days in his foster home he was binkying, flopping, and bowing his head for pats and he hasn’t stopped since. Charlie is truly the softest, sweetest, most gentlemanly bun!
Charlie is a man of many nicknames. Foster mom calls him “the miracle bun” because he litter-trained himself before he was neutered, and he’s never chewed anything he wasn’t supposed to. Also known as “Mr. Chubby Cheeks” because he has long, dense fur on his cheeks and melts for cheek rubs.
He is quite social with people and would likely be a lovely husbun to a spayed female. He gladly runs over to the pet gate when he sees his foster mom coming. Charlie is not bothered by the sounds of his foster family’s Great Dane, he has even nose-booped his giant foster sister through the dog gate. He loves to explore new spaces and will be happiest with space to run. Charlie has strong opinions about interior design. He arranges his hidey house and toys how he thinks is best and is quick to let you know that he’s displeased with rearrangements with a swift thump! But you will be quickly forgiven with a treat or some pellets.
Charlie is recovering well from his neuter in mid-April and will soon receive the RHDV vaccine. His age is unknown, but he is likely under 2 years old because of his higher energy levels and history.
