Jupiter

Bonjour tout le monde! Je m’appelle Jupiter et je viens de Québec. Je suis très heureux que j’habite chez mon foster maintenant! (Hello everyone! My name is Jupiter and I come from Quebec. I am very happy that I now live with my foster mom!)

I have been learning English, so I’ll see if I can tell you about myself. It was a long trip from Quebec, but the place I’m in now is way better than the shelter. Instead of a tiny little cage, where people and other animals scared me, I’ve got a whole three-story condo to myself. There’s a couple of cats living here as well, but they’re pretty friendly so I don’t mind them. They are a little bit rude though, because when I go up to them and very politely ask them to groom me, they just stare at me. All I want is some kisses! That’s OK, I think I’ll win them over soon enough. One of them gets the hint and will groom my face for me, but the other one isn’t so smart. In the meantime, my foster mom is happy to pet me. I’m very accommodating and will flatten out completely so that she gets the maximum surface area. I know I look a little bit goofy when my front legs sprawl out but it’s worth it for the petting. It feels so good. Every time I do that she calls me crêpe Suzette. I’m not sure what that means … that’s a kind of pancake, right? Anyway, she thinks it’s funny to call me that.

I love having a litter box and I use it 100% of the time. It’s actually kind of cool because it keeps my area clean and I like things clean. She gives me a couple of different kinds of hay and there’s one that I really like called Orchard Grass. The Timothy stuff isn’t too bad, but I’m not used to it. Even though I’m only little, I can trick my foster mom into giving me the Orchard Grass by pretending that I won’t eat the Timothy, hee hee hee. I will eventually eat it, as well as the Timothy pellets that she gives me.

I really like salad. I mean REALLY! I get basically romaine, but with a few other kinds of lettuce in there. It’s sooooo good! I was just at the vet (I’m not sure what happened exactly. I remember getting there and then everything went black and I woke up with my belly being a little bit sore) so my appetite isn’t what it was but I still like salad. I’m trying to eat my pellets and the hay as well so that I can get better faster. I’m a little bit tired and don’t feel like running around as much, but as soon as I’m feeling like myself again, I’ll get back to exploring like I did when I first got here. Exploring is so much fun! I’m so glad that I’m allowed to run all over the place and I don’t just have to stay in a cage anymore. I love the sofa. I can hang out there with my foster mom and the two cats. It feels nice having a family.

I’d like to find a forever family now, so if you have room in your home for a super sweet and little bit sassy gal like me, please apply to adopt me!
